Academic staff of the Faculty of Administration has been participating in a number of academic activities in the academic year 2013/2014.
Teaching Assistant Amel Delić has participated in series of educations within the international program of academic newcomers training (TRAIN). Employees from four European Union universities (University of Ghent, Belgium; University of Kent, United Kingdom; Upssala University, Sweeden and Sapienza University of Rome, Italy) and four universties from Southeastern Europe (University of Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina; University of Belgrade, Serbia; University of Novi Sad, Serbia and University of Podgorica, Montenegro) took part in the program. TRAIN program is funded by the King Baudouin Foundation.
TRAIN education was conducted through six modules: Research Methodology, Scientific Writing and Result Presentation; Higher Education Didactics; Preparing Fundindg Application & Project Management; Communication & Presentation Skills; Entrepreneurial Skills; Networking & Teamwork.
Prof . Dr. Ismet Sejfija and Teaching Assistant Amel Delić, conducted a study ‘Youth and Peace Work’ in Tuzla, Zenica, Mostar, Sarajevo, Travnik, Banja Luka, Bosanska Gradiska and Zvornik during the period from May to August 2013. The study sponsored by the ,,Friedrich Ebert ‘’ Foundation , was published at the end of 2013. The first public presentation of this book was held last month in the Peace Flame House in Tuzla.
Teaching Assistant Merima Tanović participated at International Scientific Conference ‘Public and private aspects of necessary legal reforms in Bosnia and Herzegovina: How far can we go?’ organized by Law Faculty, University of Tuzla, in december 2013. She presented the paper ‘Improving the System of Governanace: Organizational and Functional Aspects of Public Administration Reform’, that is to be published in the conference Proceedings.
Teaching Assistants Dževad Šašić and Merima Tanović, on the basis of the Cooperation Agreement between our Faculty and the Agency, participated in vocational trainings organized by Civil Service Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina. They took part in the trainings in order to improve the teaching activities refering the practical work with students and to monitor the current state administration problems. In March 2014, Šašić and Tanović attended the trainings ‘Management and managers in state administration’ and ‘Professional organization – the organizational form of state administration’.
Assistant Professor Amina Hadžibegić – Bicciato participated in Mevlana academic staff exchange program in March 2014. She held eight lectures in the field of teaching English as a foreign language and sociolinguistics at the Faculty of Education, University ‘May 19th’ in Samsun, Republic of Turkey. Professor Hadžibegić – Bicciato conducted a short survey with master students. She was invited to participate again in the Mevlana program, as well as in trilateral programs of University of Bari, Samsun University and University of Sarajevo.
In the academic year 2013/2014, two Faculty of Administration Teaching Assistants defended their master theses. Aiša Žilić defended the master thesis ‘ Public-Private Partnerships in European Union with special reference to Bosnia and Hercegovina’ and acquired the title Master of Economic Sciences at the School of Economics and Business, University of Sarajevo. The thesis was supervised by Prof.Dr. Azra Hadžiahmetović.
Amel Delić defended the master thesis ‘Importance of Fully and Properly Established Facts for the Legality of Administrative Acts’ under the supervision of Prof.Dr. Zenaid Đelmo at the Faculty of Administration, University of Sarajevo.
