REPRESSIVE FUNCTION OF SECURITY SERVICES, RESPECT FOR HUMAN RIGHTS AND CIVIL LIBERTIES IN BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA - RELATIONSHIP AND CO-RELATIONSHIP

Abstract

If we take into consideration the foreign policy of Bosnia and Herzegovina and its aspirations to join the European Union, it is quite clear that our state should replace the sovereignity with the priciple of sovereign equlity of the States in order to become the EU member. This principle derives from the Declaration on Fundamental Principles of International Law on Amicable Relations and Cooperation among the states and is in accordance with the United Nations Charter. General principles of international law deriving from the UN Charter also recognize the principle of sovereign equality of the states and the principle of non-intereference in domestic affairs, which are an integral part of the Dayton Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
